RegCure is a premium registry maintenance software intended to sanitize the most important part of any Windows system, the registry. The registry is a database which keeps information about all of the software and hardware on your system. Because of this, if there happen to be any problems with the registry, it can wreak havoc on the proper operation of your Windows machine.

RegCure is a multi-purpose software. Not only does it take care of the registry, but it takes responsibility for all of the file components related to the registry. Because of this, one can be assured that they are in good hands with this software.

RegCure acts as a means by which the registry can be backed up and restored at any point in time. Performing regular registry backups is good system hygiene, as it can be a life saver to restore it from an earlier point in time. One has to exercise proper preventive maintenance in order to ensure that programs work as they should. They should not preempt entries in the registry, or even corrupt the registry. This is where RegCure can become a Windows system's best friend.

Windows relies on program shortcuts to maintain proper organization of the system. They differ from shortcuts on other systems, such as Macintosh or Linux, in that they are "loose fitting," and can become obsolete or corrupted. RegCure ensures that all of one's program shortcuts are proper and up-to-date. The Start Menu is also related to the shortcut issue, and RegCure takes care of this as well.

Invalid and empty registry keys are potentially dangerous to a Windows system. At any point in time, any program can insert registry entries that may be confusing to a Windows system. Programs can also pollute the registry with useless keys which make Windows take longer to start. Since the registry is like one big file totaling several gigabytes, it is important to keep it slim and trim to reduce startup times.

RegCure also allows you to determine which programs are loaded at startup. Many programs force you to install annoying and unnecessary software components, such as pre-loaders and registration reminder applications. There are many programs out there which claim to be able to remove these, but truth be told, not all of them look in all of the places in which startup program shortcuts can possibly reside. RegCure has the user covered in this respect.

Finally, RegCure takes care of the most potentially devastating of all Windows troubles - DLL mismanagement. To understand DLLs, a metaphor shall be used. Imagine that there is a written language that exists that changes frequently (in reality, there isn't). Every time the translator needs to understand a word (program function), he or she would look in the first dictionary (DLL) he or she has available for the definition. Now, imagine that he or she has piles of unsorted and potentially obsolete dictionaries available in his or her room. By Cindy Chung
